The Bismarck Palm is not hardy, it can however tolerate slightly negative temperatures (never above -2°C) for a very short time and in well-drained soil.

Bismarckia nobilis is grown in a large container or in a pot, the bottom of which will be filled with a nice layer of clay pebbles or gravel to ensure perfect drainage. Very ornamental, it will make a perfect isolated subject, on a lawn or in the center of a patio.

Under ideal conditions, the bluish color is even more pronounced.
